We need to look after our Oceans.

East Coast Scuba & Watersports is participating in Aware Week and making a difference for cleaner oceans. Our goal is to clean the seabed of debris that ruins our coastline’s environment and aesthetics plus educate divers on how they can make a difference and become involved in Project Aware.

Are you interested in becoming a Specialty Diver for Padi Certified Project Aware or Coral Reef Conservation? Why not join our PADI instructors and become more aware of our oceans on these dives and how we can make a difference as divers. We’re planning to have buddy groups work together to dive and remove debris around Mill Cove wharf. We will have all the necessary equipment to be involved in the clean-up, but in case we run out of catch-bags, divers are encouraged to bring their own catch-bags.

The event will take place on Sept 26, 2020, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. First, meet at East Coast Scuba & Watersports to discuss cleanup and safety procedures. Come out and join us and see how much we can achieve in cleaning up as a group!
