During this period of emergency, we believed it was important to evaluate the disinfection protocol of a company which is an important point of reference in the sector of infection prevention – Vioxten. Their product has received approval from DAN, and they were able to provide us with international certification for the active ingredient, also tested on the SARS COV-2 virus.
In order to ensure the maintenance of the quality and efficiency of our dive equipment, Mares carried out tests in diving tanks with the Rely+On™ Virkon™ disinfectant, with great results regarding compatibility! The tests were carried out following procedure for diving regulators, wetsuits and BCDs at a percentage of 1:600 or 10g x 6 liters of water, for a contact time of 10 minutes, the sufficient time to eliminate SARS COV-2 contamination as certified by the manufacturer.
Rely+On™ Virkon™ is concentrated in powder form (easy to store) and is a multi-use disinfectant, classified for medical/surgical use with a low chemical risk (non-pollutant for aquifers) with high anti-bacterial properties.

In questa fase emergenziale abbiamo ritenuto importante valutare un protocollo di disinfezione condiviso con una azienda di riferimento nel settore della prevenzione alle infezioni come la Vioxten la quale oltre ad aver ottenuto l’approvazione da parte della DAN è stata in grado di fornirci tutte le certificazioni internazionali del principio attivo, testato anche sul Virus Sars Cov2.
Per preservare la qualità e l’efficienza delle attrezzature, la Mares ha realizzato dei test in vasche da immersione, con il prodotto disinfettante Rely+On™ Virkon™ riscontrando ottimi risultati anche dal punto di vista della compatibilità!
Il test effettuato ha riguardato la procedura di immersione per erogatori, mute e jacket ad una percentuale di 1:600 ovvero 10g x 6 litri per un tempo di contatto di 10 minuti, tempo certificato dalla casa madre sufficiente ad eliminare la contaminazione da SARS-COV-2.
Il prodotto denominato Rely+On™ Virkon™ concentrato in polvere (di facile stoccaggio) è un disinfettante ad ampio spettro, classificato come presidio medico chirurgico con un basso rischio chimico (non inquinante per le falde acquifere) ed una elevata azione biocida.
