Another one of Canada’s leading boat shows has postponed until 2022. The Ottawa Boat Show, scheduled to be held this February 25-28 at the EY Centre will be pushed back to Feb 24-27, 2022 at the same venue.

The announcement joins a sadly growing list from other major Canadian cities, as Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver have all postponed their annual events for 2021. Some U.S events are still going ahead, most notably the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida, which will proceed as scheduled later this month. The Miami Boat Show is also still currently set to proceed in February 2021.

“For the past 45 years, the Ottawa Boat Show has been the unofficial launch of boating season in the Ottawa Region, welcoming hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors annually. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone this year’s Ottawa Boat Show, which was scheduled to take place February 25-28, 2021 at the EY Centre. The rescheduled event will take place February 24-27, 2022.

This decision was not taken lightly, but the health and safety of our exhibitors, partners, visitors, and contractors is our top priority. Additional factors leading to the show’s postponement included the ability to provide a quality audience to the exhibitors and adequate time to produce a successful show.

Master Promotions Ltd. would like to thank the Ottawa Boat Show community for unwavering support from exhibitors, visitors, sponsors, and partners. We look forward to hosting an in-person event again when it is safe to do so. We continue to believe in the strength of face-to-face business and networking opportunities that shows provide and therefore will NOT be offering a virtual trade show for 2021.

However, in an effort to bridge the gap between the postponed show and the next face-to-face event, our company is excited to introduce a new product: the Ottawa Boat Show Digital Marketing Platform. Over the next few weeks, we will be rolling out a brand-new feature on our website, designed to connect our exhibitors with our visitors in a unique way.
