The Academy of Underwater Arts and Sciences has announced the 2020 Recipient of the prestigious Zale Parry Scholarship – Olivia Thomas.

Olivia Thomas is currently a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M University where she is studying anthropology with a specialization in nautical archaeology. Olivia grew up in a rural town in southern Indiana and attended Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree, majoring in anthropology, classical art and archaeology, and underwater archaeology, as well as minoring in medieval studies, and earning a certificate in underwater resource
management.
