Things may look a little different this year but that won’t stop us from having a great time. Kick-off DEMA Show 2021week with the PADI Social in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer
Tuesday, 16 November
Fee: $695 US
As an Emergency First Response® Instructor Trainer, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your passion for teaching and increase your income by training others to become Emergency First Response Instructors. This half-day program is open to EFR® Instructors who have completed the preparatory online component and conducted at least five EFR courses or issued at least 25 EFR course completion cards. This program includes access to the online pre-study presentations and to the live practical component.

Please have an Emergency First Response Trainer Manual, a current/updated Emergency First Response Instructor Manual, and your completed knowledge review and marketing plan assignment.

Miniseminars at the Las Vegas Convention Center (South Hall)

By attending the Quality and Risk Management and PADI Standards: Year in Review miniseminars, along with two additional presentations, PADI Members can regain Teaching status after not renewing for one to three years. To gain seminar credits toward the PADI Master Instructor rating or Course Director Training Course application, PADI Members receive one credit for every three PADI Miniseminars attended. Attendance validation is required for credit and forms will be available at the seminars. You may also attend two additional virtual miniseminars for teaching credit as well.

New DSD Safety Study Published

Join us in the PADI booth as we review new findings from a recent Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) safety study that was published this past June in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine. The study examined the mortality rate within PADI’s DSD program from 1992 (DSD’s introduction) through 2019. Statistical analysis compared all program fatalities (79) against 7 million+ registrations in two 14 year periods, finding a significant fatality rate decline to .87 per 100K participants for the period ending in 2019. Attend this seminar to see how this compares favorably with recreational diving in general.
